For Alexandra and Antonin Kinova, the 5th time is the charm.
Normally, you ‘d be overwhelmed with joy at the simple fact of welcoming your little one into the world. That being said, for one couple in the Czech Republic, there's much more than a solitary reason to be grateful this season, as they welcomed their children- yes, you read that right; CHILDREN.
The pair, Antonin and Alexandra Kinova, were familiar with babies as they already had a child. They were even more thrilled and anxious to learn of the newest member to their household. However, things got even more interesting when they discovered that they would be having not just one, but two babies.
Taking into account the simple fact that Alexandra and Antonin both stemmed from families with long past histories of twins, they were preparing to continue the family (or in this case, families) tradition.
While in the process of helping make preparations for their brand new child, Alexandra and Antonin, who are both from Milovice (a city in the Czech Republic) found out from their physician that as opposed to one baby, they will be having a set of twins. Upon learning of this latest development, the couple, packed with enthusiasm, started to make preparations for the new additions that will be added to the family.
It wasn't particularly a shock, considering that they stemmed from families with long histories of having twins.
Nevertheless, almost instantly, their doctor contacted the couple and planned a meeting to re-diagnose.
The next thing the physician stated was something that they certainly never even envisioned they'd hear. The doctor showed the couple the ultrasound again and when they examined it, the doctor broke the news to them plainly; the couple wasn't anticipating one baby or two … but 4 bundles of joy!
You ‘d think the news would stop there, correct?
Well, it didn't.
A month after that, Alexandra went in to get yet another ultrasound and this time around, it was uncovered that there was even another little one in her womb!
“When we finally found out that there was a fifth baby, I started to choke up”, said Alexandra. Naturally, the odds that this young lady was going to conceive 5 children a once were one in seven million. Still, Alexandra was determined to nurse each one of them.
When it was inevitably time for Alexandra to deliver, the emergency room supplied twice the ordinary amount of delivery staff to cater for this delivery. This doubling also consisted of midwives and doctors, and this means that the total number of staff available for the delivery was nearly 40.
The head doctor of the hospital's neonatal department stated that he procedure happened effortlessly, without a single hitch recorded.
When it was all sad and done, the young couple welcomed 5 new babies into their household; 4 little boys and 1 baby girl.
The boys were named Deniel, Alex, Michael, and Martin while the charming couple named their beautiful little girl Tereza. All babies were born in a healthy state, and there has been no single health issue announced from the mom and her new babies.
“In this particular country, we have been actively recording stats of birth ever since 1949 and in that time, there has never once been a mention of quintuplets. As a matter f fact, quintuplets are born in the Czech Republic once in every 480 years on an average”, said doctor Alena Mechurova.
